Testing the strength of the Locks4Vans Anti-Peel kit using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).

Locks4Vans is an automotive security specialist, producing a range of security solutions for commercial vehicles.
The company’s Anti-Peel kit is designed to protect van side doors from attack, a particularly vulnerable area where thieves can attempt to peel the doors from the top or bottom corner.
L4V approached Cornelius Creative for independent testing using Finite Element Analysis to demonstrate how much stronger van doors would be when the Anti-Peel kit is used, compared to no protection.

Finite Element Analysis to simulate a real-world van theft attempt

Finite element analysis (FEA) predicts how a product will react to real-world forces. We use it to help design products that are safe, economical, and perform as intended
Locks4Vans approached us to run an FEA simulation to determine how much stronger a van side door would be when one of their Anti-Peel Kits was attached.

Analysis and presentation

We conducted the analysis using FEA programming and the result was the doors are 3000% stronger with an anti-peel kit, equivalent to the strength of 10 men. We produced the CGI video above for the client to showcase the product to its customers.
Locks4Vans were then able to use this strong message within their marketing and communications to help sell more Anti-Peel kits and protect more vans.
