What personal data we collect and why we collect it.
Comments.
When visitors leave comments on our website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms.
Cookies.
If users of our website leave a comment on a post then they may decide to opt-in to saving their name, email address and website (if applicable) in cookies. This will generate a cookie that lasts for one year. This is for the user’s convenience and means that they will not be required to fill in their personal details again should they leave another comment.
If a user logins to our website, we will set a cookie to determine whether their browser accepts cookies. This cookie is temporary and contains no personal data, and will be discarded when the user closes their browser.
When a user logins to our website, we will also set up several cookies to save their login information and screen display choices. Login cookies will last for two days, and screen options cookies will last for a year. If the user selects “Remember Me” their login will last for two weeks. Upon logging out the the account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content such as images, videos and articles may be included on page of this website. The embedded content behaves in the same way as if the user had visited the source website.

How long we retain your data.
When users leave a comment on our website, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is to ensure that we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
